We are currently seeking a qualified summer lifeguard to join our summer camp team. As the Summer Camp lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of children in and around the summer camp pool. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe pool area, enforcing pool rules, and responding to emergencies.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise children in and around the pool to ensure their safety
- Enforce pool rules to ensure the safety of all children
- Maintain a clean and safe pool area
- Monitor pool chemical levels and make adjustments as needed
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, including performing CPR if necessary
- Communicate effectively with parents and daycare staff regarding any pool-related issues
Qualifications:
- Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Minimum 1 year experience working as a lifeguard, preferably in a daycare or similar environment
- Knowledge of pool chemical levels and maintenance
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
